I had fun with the assigment for this month’s Collage Art Collective: making vintage boarding passes. I started with the back of my boarding passes but asking ChatGPT to create a vintage-y looking Pan Am Boarding pass that looked like it was from the late 1930s. Once those were printed off, I got to work collaging on the backside and used images of American Airlines staff members from Fortune Magazine March 1944 (artwork by Maria De Kammerer). I scanned these images on graph paper and plain paper and they are attached below if you want to try to replicate this project (each set is a single image that you should be able to download if you right click on it).
