I love everything that’s old

After a long absence, I finally got to venture up to the Goodwill Outlets in Indy on October 9th. I was able to stop at the one on Franklin Street and the one on the West Side and came away with a few old treasures. It took me a while to get around to doing my video and post because things got busy again…but at long last…here they are!

A few finds on Father’s Day weekend

On the way back from Chicago I had time for a very short stop at the Goodwill Outlet on the West side of Indy and found a few treats including a Fashion Book with lots of wonderful illustrations and some vintage game and sewing treats.

Check out all the amazing images found in the following book!

…and because I wanted to celebrate with my father on Sunday – I got to stop at another goodwill and find a few more treasures.

Thrifty dollars bring vintage treasures

Okay, that was my lame attempt at a play on the “April showers bring May flowers” saying…since this post shows a combination of thrifted finds from April and May. Highlights in this batch include: a retro tiki tin, a cool vintage game board for a game called “World Flyers”, vintage children’s books, early Elvis records, some vintage linens and some fun decor for Halloween and some awesome vintage Christmas finds.

Fun story on the standing Santa: I found his plastic white boot and thought it was something that I might be able to do something crafty with…but then, after a few laps around the outlet, I saw a Santa missing one white boot. Apparently, I scored the Santa because he was missing that one white boot that I’d happened to grab.

A super haul

This week’s thrifted finds included some olympic treasures (a set of placemats from 1972) and some very timely decor for tonight’s superbowl game. Can you say “W for the win?!”
